Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Equity is in our DNA here at MissionSquare Retirement.
Founded in 1979, through a grant from the Ford Foundation, we made retirement plans portable for the public sector and revolutionized our industry. Today we continue to lead and evolve.
“We’re about empowering a broad range of people who radiate the passion, perspectives, and promise to take themselves, our clients, and our company forward.”
Lynne Ford

Makeba D’Abreu, DEI Program Manager

Makeba was born into civil rights activism. Service and outreach became integral to her career path, which took her from the White House to the Middle East and South Africa, working with faith leaders around HIV/AIDS and teaching people how to mobilize for lasting change around matters of cultural and societal importance. Drawing on her vast global experience, Makeba leads the Living DEI strategy at MissionSquare.

“Living DEI is a journey for us — and it’s one we’re committed to. We’re all in different spaces, depending on where we are on that journey.”
